Dear Parents,

There are nearly 200 students participating in various events in our Pongal Vizha 2024. As the event is run by volunteers, we request that parents gather all required information, which is consolidated on this page. Please read and collect all the necessary details to ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

Please recognize that several hundred hours have been collectively invested in organizing an event of this scale. Additionally, we are proud to be one of the few Tamil Schools that conduct a variety of contests to encourage and nurture the talents of our students.

Let’s collectively express our gratitude for the countless hours dedicated by our volunteers.

Please follow the below guidelines to have a smooth experience for everyone

  1. Registration and Schedule Distribution: Upon arrival, all students are required to check in at the front desk. Here, they will receive their individual schedules for the day’s activities.
  2. Contest Schedule: Each student will be provided with a detailed schedule for the preliminary rounds of the contests.
  3. Classroom Assignments: The schedule will resemble a typical school day, listing each contest along with the corresponding classroom location. Students will move from one room to another according to their schedule.
  4. Post-Preliminary Gathering: After completing all preliminary contests, students should gather in the Auditorium.
  5. Volunteer Assistance: Volunteers will be present throughout the venue to guide and assist students as needed.
  6. Parental Waiting Area: We request that parents remain in the Auditorium during the event. Students will be in classrooms for the contests.
  7. Final Rounds Location: The final rounds of the contests will take place in the Auditorium.
  8. Handling Schedule Conflicts: Please be assured that if students have overlapping events, our judges will make accommodations to ensure participation. However, it is crucial that students arrive on time for registration, as schedules will not be issued to those who are late.

Food Token Information
For those who have pre-purchased snacks and dinner, food tokens will be distributed. We have finalized our order with the restaurant and will not be issuing any additional tokens at the venue. It is important to collect your tokens and keep them safe, as we cannot issue replacements for lost tokens. Additionally, we kindly ask everyone to help maintain cleanliness in the cafeteria. Please be mindful to avoid spills and ensure that water bottles and other items are disposed of in the designated trash areas.

Auditorium Food Policy and Cleanliness

Please be aware that food items are strictly prohibited inside the Auditorium. Additionally, we request that you refrain from discarding bottles or any other items beneath the seats. Our volunteers will be responsible for cleaning up after the event, and we can all help minimize their workload by being mindful of our waste.

As a volunteer-based organization, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable event is a shared responsibility. We appreciate your cooperation in maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
