Volunteering

Vallalar Tamil School has dedicated itself to promote quality Tamil Education with the help of passionate parents as volunteers. So, join our team of Volunteers. We also provide volunteering opportunities for High School students.

Vallalar Tamil School recognizes the volunteers with the “President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA)”.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award is offered by the President of the United States as a civil award to honor dedicated volunteers who offer hours of personal time for helping others through voluntary means. The President’s Volunteer Award was established in 2003 through executive order by then-president George W. Bush. Recipients can be granted the Gold, Silver, or Bronze award depending on how many hours of voluntary service are completed.

Recipients receive a personalized certificate of achievement and letter signed by our President Joseph R. Biden, Jr, a medallion and a PVSA certificate.

Vallalar Tamil School Inc is an Official Certifying Organization for “The President’s Volunteer Service Award”. School Volunteers are recognized with the PVSA awards.
