மனத்தது மாசாக மாண்டார்நீ ராடி
மறைந்தொழுகும் மாந்தர் பலர்.

பொருள்: மனத்தில் மாசு இருக்க, தவத்தால் மாண்பு பெற்றவரைப்போல், நீரில் மறைந்து நடக்கும் வஞ்சனை உடைய மாந்தர் உலகில் பலர் உள்ளனர்.

Filthy in mind some bathe in streams
Hiding sins in showy extremes.

English Meaning: There are many men of masked conduct, who perform their ablutions, and (make a show) of greatness, while their mind is defiled (with guilt).
