ஆத்திசூடி (Aathichudi), 12-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் வாழ்ந்த ஔவையார் இயற்றிய நீதி நூல் ஆகும். சிறுவர்கள் இளம் பருவத்திலேயே மனனம் செய்து மனதில் நிறுத்திக்கொள்ளும் வகையில் சிறுசிறு சொற்றொடர்களால் எளிமையாக அமைந்தது ஆத்திசூடி. தமிழ்ச் சமுதாயம் பல நூற்றாண்டுகளாக நல்லொழுக்கத்திற்கு முக்கியத்துவம் அளித்ததை ஆத்திசூடி உணர்த்துகிறது.
பொருள்: நல்ல செயல்களைச் செய்வதற்கு மனம் விருப்பம் கொள்ள வேண்டும். மனம் விருப்பம் கொள்ள அந்த நல்ல செயல்களை மகிழ்வுடன் செய்ய முடியும்.
English Translation: Intend to do the right deeds.

பொருள்: கோபம் வரும் போது நமது சிந்திக்கும் அறிவு குறைந்து உணர்ச்சி வசப்பட்டுத் தவறான முடிவு எடுக்கும் சூழ்நிலை உருவாகும். அஃது எல்லோருக்கும் நல்லது அல்ல. அதனால் கோபம் தணிக்கப்பட வேண்டியதாகும்.
