முடுக்கு வகுப்பு - 1 | Accelerated Grade 1

இந்த வகுப்பு, தமிழ் மொழியைச் சற்றுத் தாமதமாக (சுமார் 7 முதல் 12 வயது வரை) கற்க வரும் மாணவர்களுக்கான வகுப்பு. தமிழ் மொழியை மாணவர்களுக்கு அறிமுகம் செய்து வைக்கும் நோக்கில் தமிழையும் ஆங்கிலத்தையும் கலந்து பாடத்திட்டம் கற்றுக்கொடுக்கப்படுகிறது.

மாணவர்களுக்கு உயிர், மெய், உயிர்மெய் எழுத்துகள் கற்றுத் தரப்படுகின்றன. ஒவ்வொரு எழுத்து வரிசையும் கற்ற பிறகு அது சார்ந்த சிறு வார்த்தைகள், வாக்கியங்களை மாணவர்கள் கற்கிறார்கள்.ஆண்டின் இறுதியில் சிறு வாக்கியங்களை அவர்களால் வாசிக்க முடிகிறது.

பாடத்திட்டத்துடன் இணைந்து, மாணவர்கள் தமிழில் திட்டப்பணிகளை செய்யும் வாய்ப்புகளைப் பெறுகின்றனர். வகுப்புத் தோழர்களுடன் இணைந்து தமிழில் விளையாட்டுகள் நடத்தப்படுகின்றன. மாணவர்கள் தமிழில் கேள்விகளை எழுப்பவும், தமிழில் பேசவும் ஊக்குவிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள். சில ஆங்கில விளையாட்டுகள், தமிழ் வடிவமைப்புக்கு மாற்றப்பட்டு, வகுப்பு நேரத்தில் அவை செயல்படுத்தப்படுகின்றன. மாணவர்களுக்கு பாடம் கற்பிக்கும்போதும், வகுப்பில் உரையாடும்போதும் அவர்கள் மனதில் உள்ள கருத்துக்களைத் தமிழில் பேசுவதற்கு ஊக்கப்படுத்துகிறோம்.

ஒவ்வொரு வாரமும் வீட்டுப்பாடம் கொடுக்கப்படுகிறது. எழுத்துப் பயிற்சி, வாய்மொழிப் பயிற்சி மற்றும் உரையாடல் பயிற்சி என மூன்று பிரிவுகளில் வீட்டுப்பாடம் கொடுக்கப்படுகிறது. இதனால் மாணவர்கள் அவர்களது வீட்டு உறுப்பினர்களிடம், தமிழில் பேசும் வாய்ப்பைப் பெறுகின்றனர். வகுப்பறையில், மாணவர்களுக்கு பாடங்களை விளையாட்டாகவும், உரையாடலாகவும் எளிய முறையில் கற்பிக்கிறோம். மாதம் ஒருமுறை கொடுக்கப்படும் திட்டப் பணிகளில், எங்கள் வகுப்பு மாணவர்கள் ஆர்வத்துடன் தங்களை ஈடுபடுத்திக்கொண்டு முடிக்கிறார்கள். இதனால் அனைத்து மாணவர்களும் தமிழை விரும்பி ஆர்வத்துடன் கற்கின்றனர். விளையாட்டுடன் கூடிய எங்களது பாடத்திட்டம் மாணவர்களுக்கு தமிழ் கற்க மிகவும் உதவியாக இருக்கிறது. மாணவர்களும் இதையேதான் விரும்புகிறார்கள். பள்ளிக்கு ஆர்வத்துடன் வருகிறார்கள். இதனை எங்களது வெற்றியாக பார்க்கிறோம்.

Accelerated Grade 1

This class is designed for students who begin learning Tamil a little later, typically between the ages of 7 and 12. The curriculum is taught using a mix of Tamil and English to help introduce the Tamil language effectively to the students.

Students are taught the Tamil vowels (uyir), consonants (mei), and combined letters (uyirmei). After learning each set of letters, they learn related simple words and sentences. By the end of the year, students are able to read short sentences.

Along with the curriculum, students get opportunities to work on projects in Tamil. Games in Tamil are conducted with their classmates. Students are encouraged to ask questions and speak in Tamil. Some English games are adapted into Tamil formats and used during class. While teaching lessons and engaging in classroom conversations, we encourage students to express their thoughts in Tamil.

Homework is given every week in three categories — writing practice, oral practice, and conversational practice — so students can have the opportunity to speak Tamil with their family members at home. In the classroom, lessons are taught in a simple, playful, and conversational way.

The monthly project work is completed by our students with enthusiasm and active participation. As a result, all students develop a love for learning Tamil and engage in it with interest. Our play-based curriculum greatly helps them in learning Tamil, and the students enjoy it. They come to school eagerly, and we see this as our success.
